Christopher Peter Meloni was an American actor best known for playing in the popular television show Law & Order Special Victims Unit'. In college, he began to take an interest in acting. While at his school, the University of Colorado at Boulder, he studied acting. His television characters have gained him a lot of popularity. He can play two characters, one from the perspective of police officers and other. That's what is what makes him so famous. In his very first TV production, he played a serial murderer. Then, he played the character of an NYPD investigator. He's been nominated numerous times for the highly coveted Emmy Awards and the PRISM Awards for his smaller screen performance. The most appealing feature of his face is believed to be his piercing blue eyes. They are believed as a signature and helped in portraying the rough and savage characters with a sense of humour. He was listed in People's magazine's list of Sexiest Men Alive in 2006.
